Foursquare Pitch Deck

Use This Template

If you’re into food, entertainment, and nightlife then you are probably familiar with Foursquare. The app helps uncover the best food, nightlife, and entertainment in different neighborhoods.

Founded in 2009 by Dennis Crowley and Naveen Selvadurai, the start-up operates out of New York. Despite speculation that then CEO Dennis Crowley reportedly declined a $900 million acquisition offer from Yahoo, Foursquare is still in business. In fact, in 2019 the enterprise tech company’s valuation was at $390 million.

Despite securing funding, the deck was visually uninspiring and definitely not entertaining. Check our Beautiful.ai redesign of this iconic pitch deck.

Quick tips for creating a successful pitch deck

Some of the most memorable pitch decks present information in a visually compelling and easy to understand way. Here are some things to consider:

Keep it simple

Your presentation should support what you’re saying, not distract from it. Keep your design and text simple.

Use a consistent design

You want your entire presentation to look cohesive to give investors a feel for your brand. Keep fonts, colors, and graphic styles consistent across all slides.

Leave investors wanting more

Your startup pitch deck should spark interest, leaving investors hungry for more information about your company. Don’t give away too much in your presentation.

Tell an engaging story

Engage potential investors by telling an exciting story. Talk about how your startup got its start or the connection you have to the problem you’re solving.
