This employee spotlight series highlights members of the team who embody Beautiful.ai’s ethos.
And what better way to do that than by introducing one of our dedicated Account Managers – someone who is a frontline ambassador, partnership architect, relationship builder, and problem solver.
Today, we’re highlighting Danny Curtis, who has been on the team for over three years and, in that time, has developed meaningful partnerships with major enterprise teams. We chatted with Danny about his role at Beautiful.ai, all things presentations, and everything in between:
Q: How long have you worked at Beautiful.ai?
A: 3.5 years
Q: What is your role and what does it entail?
A: I’m an Account Manager, I help our clients get the most out of our platform by organizing training sessions, solving problems, creating and maintaining relationships, and finding new business units and use cases within the organizations where Beautiful.ai can assist.
Q: How do presentations play a role in your day-to-day responsibilities?
A: I use Beautiful.ai every day, whether I’m presenting weekly reports, QBRs, or assisting a client on their own project, I use presentations to storyboard and communicate my messaging.
Q: What do you love most about working at Beautiful.ai?
A: I love that we are sensitive to the ‘non-designers’ and ‘non-technical’ individuals first and foremost, and have developed a platform that allows anybody to visualize their thoughts in a powerful way.
Q: What is your favorite Beautiful.ai feature?
A: Our AI assistant, I love that I can toss out a prompt and have our AI assistant whip up a first draft in seconds - this allows me to break through writer's block and puts me into “editing” mode rather than ‘create from scratch’ mode, which is much less intimidating and more productive.
Q: What is something exciting you’re working on right now or something work-related you’re proud of?
A: I’m very proud of the relationships I’ve built with our top clients at Beautiful.ai -- they are leading the way with their insights and helping us create a product that is the best presentation maker for enterprise teams.
Q: What was your first job?
A: I worked at a small Minnesota gas station/animal food store called “Bennis Feed and Fuel.”
Q: The best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
A: “Agreeability” is overrated. Being a good partner means productively disagreeing at times, and working through roadblocks to find creative solutions is much more valuable than saying “yes” to everything
Q: When you aren’t working, what do you like to do for fun?
A: Beach flag football, writing and producing sketch comedy, playing music, and spending time with my two kids.
Q: What is one thing you cannot live without?
A: Music - whether listening to my Spotify playlist or picking up a guitar, Music has always been a huge part of my life.
